Fiber Studio Artist (FSA) is a volunteer position lasting 3-12 months that gives an emerging fiber artist space to work and access to all tools, equipment and supplies in the Fiber Arts Studio to develop a new body of fiber-based work. In exchange, the FSA will teach a class, provide a demonstration, assist with a class or event, help organize the studio, or assist with marketing and promotions. Additionally, the FSA acts as an ambassador by helping to educate the public on the importance of art education, public maker’s spaces, and the wonderful world of fiber arts, upcycling, and “Trashion.”
