JAN 19 & 26, 2019
Instructor: Laura Lee Fritz
Make your own greeting cards? Books? Tee-shirt art? Quilt fabric? Art prints? Start here.
See your doodles come to life when you print from your own rubber blocks. Laura provides lots of tips to guide your hands as you carve your own rubber block. You will start, in class, with some simple design idea, but with this medium you can work with your most detailed and complex ideas. You will receive a tool kit to use in class and then take home for your next projects.
Learn which ink to use for which surface. Practice how to apply it for different textural and color effects. See how to plan pattern repeats and block indexing. Transparency? Opacity? Secondary designs? After-detailing? Yes, let’s do and study this while we spend this second session printing on paper and fabric.
All materials and tools will be supplied in class. If you have additional tools and materials you wish to discuss or work with feel free to bring them.
To register for this class please call (707) 938-4626 x1
