Monique Risch-Meade’s background as a professional graphic designer translates easily into the fiber arts, searching for hidden colors, the creation of abstract forms, and textures from plants on fabric or paper. Coaxing dye from native plants is an old form of art born out of the desire to enrich our lives with color and pattern. She lead workshops in the newest techniques in Eco Printing and modern Shibori making them easy for the beginner as well as providing inspiration to the advanced fiber artists.
