In this mini workshop, participants will learn the basics of slab building to make a charming “Circle Vase” to grace the home or give as a gift. You will learn techniques for constructing a vessel embellished with low relief surface design. Students will explore texture tools such texture plates, wooden stamps, fabric, and more to create unique surface designs that are meaningful to you. It will be a creative and inspiring morning!
Each participant can make one or more vase (or veer from the project to make their own creation). After the vases have dried and are ready for glazing, each participant can stop by the studio to glaze their pieces with the help of one of our staff.
No experience necessary, this is a great workshop for those totally new to clay or for those who’d like to learn something new! Tools provided.
$15 materials fee due at registration covers clay, firing, and glazes plus one time use of the studio to glaze your vase. Additional clay may be purchased as necessary.
