VIRTUAL: Fall Fiber Fun for Kids

SEPTEMBER 30 & OCTOBER 7, 2020:  
Hand Stitching Sashiko,  Lucky Charm Bear

Instructor:  Pia Andersson

In this Fiber series you will learn and focus on the following techniques with 2 weeks for each project.  Sign-up for any or all 3 and prepare for some Fiber Fun!:

  • Sept 30th and Oct 7th:      Hand Stitching Sashiko,  Lucky Charm Bear
  • Oct 14th and 21st:               Magnificent Macrame, Wall Hanging w/feather accents
  • Oct 28th and Nov 4th:       Wow! Weaving,  Bracelet with beads and bells

We request that for each kid younger than 12 years of age, an adult is nearby ready to assist, if necessary. Your kids will take away some amazing fiber art work! Please sign up to learn as many of these fun fiber arts techniques as you like (each runs for 2 weeks).

A Supply Kit will be available for a curbside pick-up for local students and shipping for non-local.  Price of the Supply Fee is dependent on location.

Pia Andersson


Pia Andersson has a master’s degree in Textile Arts and Textile Engineering from Sweden and has taught textile techniques (with a focus on machine and hand sewing) to children and adults in Marin and in Sweden. She has also worked for many years in commercial textile product development. She has a passion for bringing out people’s creativity and crafting artful communities.
