VIRTUAL: Lebanese Dips, Marinades and Sauces!

SUNDAY, May 23, 2021
3:00-5:00PM PT/ 6:00- 8:00 PM ET

Instructor:  Cristina Topham

Join Cristina, owner and chef of Spread Catering as she takes us on a food journey to her Lebanese roots. She will share her popular recipes for dips, marinades and sauces to help you create the staples of a middle eastern meal. She will break down the ingredients necessary to make a marinade for a main meat dish (Kofta), babaganoush (smoky eggplant dish) and delicious sauces to top your meal.

Cristina will demonstrate for approximately 1  hour, after which there will be time reserved for additional Q&A.  All workshops will be hosted by the Sonoma Ceramics staff; participants are encouraged to ask questions using the chat forum in Zoom, and the host will communicate these questions to Sam during her demo.  The recording of this workshop will be viewable for two weeks after the class.

All students will receive the Zoom recording of the workshop to watch at their convenience for two weeks after the workshop. Many participants choose to observe the virtual workshop and work later, but you may also work alongside Samantha during the demo.

Recipes and a tool list will be sent to participants who register through this site.

I’ve been a professional chef for 20+ years and have cooked my way around the world in restaurants, catering, and as a yacht chef. I started Spread Catering in 2016 as an homage to my Lebanese roots, love of travel, and the bounty of the Sonoma and Napa Valleys. Spread’s style is best described as Modern Lebanese cooking with a California flair. Our menus change seasonally and I source as much of our ingredients as possible from local farms and producers throughout the Bay Area. We are equally at home preparing a refined, plated dinner as we are grilling up an Eastern Mediterranean feast for a crowd; complete with traditional Lebanese mezze, homemade pita bread, and kabobs!

Respect – for the ingredients, my clients, and the people I work with – is the cornerstone of my business. When you hire Spread Catering, I work one-on-one with you to craft the perfect menu and handle every detail from setup to cleanup so that you can relax and enjoy your event. My goal is to create stress-free, delicious, and memorable experience for you and your guests!
