Linda Arons
Instructor
Linda Arons received a BA in Design from UC Berkeley and was an art and elementary classroom teacher for 39 years. While teaching in Oakland, her students created yarn stitcheries depicting San Francisco landmarks for exhibition at San Francisco International Airport. As a gift to the city, her students presented a yarn-stitchery wall hanging, “The Pride of Oakland,” to Oakland’s mayor, Jerry Brown, which remains on permanent display at Oakland City Hall. Based on her book, “Art Projects Made Easy: Recipes for Fun,” she taught classes to elementary classroom teachers at St. Mary’s College in Moraga. Upon retirement, she began exploring techniques using fabric, yarn and beads and is excited to share them with others.
