Join ceramicist Lynn Wood in this family-friendly class where you’ll create your very own porcelain holiday ornaments.  Lynn will show you a unique method using cardboard to create fun shapes and templates.  Bring on the holiday fun!

All students will receive the Zoom recording of the workshop to watch at their convenience for two weeks after the workshop.  Many participants choose to observe the virtual workshop and work later, but you may also work alongside Lynn during the demo.

*Thanks to a grant from Sonoma Plein Air Foundation, we are able to offer this class, including materials, at the low cost of $5 per participant for those under 18 years old.  Those who are able to pay more will be helping us fund additional similar programs.

Materials kits will be available for pickup the weekend before the class.

Lynn Wood


Lynn Wood IS the Pottery Texture Queen. She is inspired by textures found in nature, architecture, and textiles and brings this joy into her work through pattern, texture, and color.  Lynn has developed her own patterned texture mats that can be used on hand-built and thrown pottery in a variety of ways and they are available for sale at Sonoma Community Center.  Lynn lives in Santa Rosa, shows and teaches nationally, and, of course teaches at Sonoma Ceramics.
