Daniel Oliver

Native of France, Daniel Oliver is mostly self taught and learned his way with clay by taking a variety of community classes. He is spontaneous in his work, which makes each piece one of a kind. He is aware of his surroundings to find inspiration for shapes, textures, and forms. Daniel says, “Clay is infinite as a medium. The clay, my hands, the kiln, my surroundings, the mood I am in, all of those things are part of what is controlling my work, if it is controlled at all. My hands follow the clay, and then it is up to the “kiln goddess”. I like the whimsical look of my work. I guess that is how I feel most of the time.”
