Jared recently returned to the states after living in Kuala Kangsar, Malaysia fulfilling a year long Fulbright English teaching Assistant grant. While in Malaysia, he was often asked, “Why do you look Malay? Why do you not look American?” Jared will speak about identity and place as he shares his background and ideas around “Americanness” and his experiences combining community and art.  This is a free presentation.
