Slab Building with Marbleizing Clay @ Sonoma Community Center

WEDNESDAY 10:00AM-1:00PM
MAR 18, 2020

Instructor:  Joanne Lee

During this workshop, students will learn how to combine three different types of clay to make marbleized slab bowls and trays.  Students will use three clays of their choice (bring your own clay or share bags; Petes Red, SW 48 and Black Mountain are recommended).  Joanne will teach a variety of techniques for marbleizing to create striped, dot, and flower patterns.  Patterned slabs will then be used on plaster forms to make vessels.

No clay experience needed, great for first timers!

Bring your own clay purchased from the Center.  All types will work (this is a great class to use up clay that you have).  Clays with grog work best.
