The Sonoma Valley Authors Festival will commence the weekend of May 3 – 5, 2019.
Conveniently located less four hundred yards from the town of Sonoma’s historic Plaza, The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort & Spa offers festival attendees easy access to the Plaza with its many shops and restaurants, the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, Mission San Francisco Solano, the 21st and northernmost mission which was founded in 1823, and many tasting rooms featuring exceptional local wineries.
During the weekend, Main Stage presentations took place in the stunning Stone Building and Stone Building Lawn, which was tented for the Festival. Breakout sessions took place in comfortable and well-lighted meeting rooms throughout the resort. There was an Information & Hospitality Center for all attendees and a Hospitality Room for all Founding Sponsors & Donors. Outdoor patios off certain meeting rooms welcomed guests as a place to gather, meet new friends and enjoy a short break. Guests enjoyed taking a break at the resort’s Bean & Bottle or around the pool.
In the center of all the activity, there was the Festival Book Store hosted by Book Passage, an independent world-renowned community bookstore, for book sales and signings.
All Pass Holders had access to the Welcome Lounge on the opening day. Local wines were featured along with hors d’oeuvres. Over the course of the next two days, Pass Holders enjoyed complimentary coffee, soft drinks, water, fresh fruit, snacks and treats during the day. For lunch on Saturday and Sunday, Pass Holders had a choice of boxed picnic lunches.
Friday evening, there will be a special dinner with the authors for all Founding Sponsors and Donors.
Exceptional wine, food and hospitality will be provided to ensure that each guest’s experience is memorable. Audio-visual, comfortable chairs and lighting support will ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all of our guests.
