Our art and culinary departments have joined forces and created multi generational family classes! Within the 2.5 hours of your time at the center, you will get to experience two classes, back to back of fun for the whole family.

Culinary class 11- 12 noon: We honor the companion planting dynamic trio of the Three Sisters, a Native American planting tradition by learning how to put together a beautiful dish with all three ingredients!

Art class 12:30-1pm: Alicia Retes, a Native American Storyteller, will perform her version of The Three Sisters; Corn, Bean and Squash while engaging the audience with her hand crafted 1 to 7 feet tall corn husk characters. Her storytelling will draw in the viewer as they interact with Alicia and her characters. The audience is encouraged to sing along and will be given an opportunity to participate in the story by playing handcrafted instruments.

Please note that these classes are for child and guardian/family member. It doesn’t matter if your child is 5 or 25, please come together!
