Vegan Food Club for October, November, December

The Vegan Club meets the second Monday of every month:

October 10th,  November 14th, December 12th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

What is the Sonoma Community Center Vegan Club?

Join Chef Kaylissa Dunson in learning new vegan dishes and help create a thriving vegan community here at Sonoma Community Center. Each month you will learn to prepare a new meal and after you are finished cooking, you will sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labor together as a club! The club lasts for 3 months and it one class per month.

What’s on the menu for the next 3 classes?

– Coconut Curry Thai inspired Soup. Broth flavored with lemongrass and ginger. Filled with mushrooms, bok choy, jack fruit, and sweet peppers. Served on top of vermicelli noodles. 

– 3 Bean Chili; fully loaded with mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, carrots & squash. Topped with avocado & served  with a side of “buttery” cornbread. 

– Lentil Veggie loaf covered with a tomato sauce. Served with a baked sweet potato, and side kale Caesar salad. —

 What is the Vegan Club at Sonoma Community Center?

Our Vegan Clubs helps vegans and vegan curious folks come together and learn vegan dishes with an expert chef.  Our Vegan Club meets once a month for 3 months. After three months, you can sign up again for another batch of classes!

From being raised by a cook, I could say it was in my blood to know my way around a kitchen. Surprisingly it wasn’t until 2018, upon transitioning to a strictly plant based diet, that I started to explore my culinary talents. In 2020, amidst the pandemic I began doing pop up events, and started Kay’s So Delicious Kitchen to spread awareness of how possible and beneficial a vegan lifestyle is.
