About the Instructor

Miss Molly Spencer

Instructor / Dancer

Molly Spencer otherwise known as “Miss Molly” started Miss Molly’s Pre Ballet & Dance in January 2015 and has taught hundreds of local children the joy of dancing, creating and performing!

She was Director of Novato School of Dance; a program of the Novato Parks and Recreation from 1999 to 2008. During that time presented three pre ballet recitals a year, a bi annual dance show for all Park and Rec Dance Classes, and choreographed and directed the children’s ballet Peter and the Wolf. She has taught creative movement, pre ballet, ballet, and modern/lyrical jazz to students ranging from 3 years old to adult!

Molly started her path right here in Sonoma at the Community Center then continued her studies as well as performing and choreographing with College of Marin and Santa Rosa Jr College. She studied with renowned teachers Jim May at DanceSpace and the Paul Taylor Dance Studio in New York City. Molly finds deep satisfaction teaching in her hometown!

Sliding Scale Guidance

When you register for a class, you’ll be offered three price tiers. The middle tier comes closest to what our registration fees used to be, and covers about 50% of the full cost of your participation in the class – with the other 50% covered by community donations. The first tier creates accessibility for people with limited income, while the third tier covers the full cost of participation – so that we can use community donations to support other people’s registration costs. When you choose to register at the third tier, you directly help support the Center’s efforts to remove financial barriers for others.
