About the class
Required Materials: 2-4 Rolls of duct tape (35 yards each), painters coveralls, 1 model, 1-2 assistants to help tape up the model.
Make your own body double mannequin out of duct tape! Join Trashion Icon Spencer Morton for a delightful morning of making a mannequin (torso or full body) for sewing, draping or trashion projects.
During this class models need to be comfortable standing for long periods (at least one hour) as they are wrapped in duct tape over the painter’s body suit to create a body double mannequin. This will require models being comfortable duct taping themselves or having their body (potentially including arms and legs), then being carefully cut out of the painter’s suit. Wear clothes that are tight to the body and comfortable ruining/having cut. Consider wearing comfortable shoes.
After this class, stuff your mannequin with old papers, newspaper or other light packing material to maintain the shape of the body ( within 6 hours recommended).
