Winter is the time to create warm and snuggly things! Spend four Tuesday evenings learning the basics of crochet: how to select yarn, hold the hook, start and finish a project along with some basic stitches. By the end of the class you will have completed your first scarf and hopefully be hooked on crochet! This class is especially for beginners, no experience needed. All materials are provided: a hook along with your choice of yarns from Fiber Arts Studio’s vast collection.

I have been crocheting most of my life. My mother taught me, as well as many other things, needlepoint, sewing, quilting, cooking, preserving, etc. I have always favored crochet.
I grew up in Buffalo NY, went to college in Atlanta, started working in the fashion industry in NYC which brought me to LA as the western states sales manager for Giorgio Armani menswear. 40+ years living in LA, a son and a transition (after 20 years) from fashion to wine. I moved to Sonoma 5 years ago (great decision!) and work in guest relations at Opus One in Napa. I’ve become a grandma and play with clay a lot (started that 10 years ago) at the Sonoma Community Center. I continue my sewing, needlepoint and, of course, crocheting all through my life.
