This 6-session series is designed for beginners as well as more experienced movement enthusiasts. We will begin with a warm-up that will familiarize you with proper breathing techniques, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapular movement and cervical placement. The classes will help you build your core strength and stability in an efficient and safe manner and is a great complement to your other sports activities.

Michelle is a recipient of the 2022 Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) Artist Power Convenings Grant. Through this grant, she is sharing her passion for Pilates and mindful movement with members of the Sonoma community. She has trained and completed the STOTT PILATES Intensive Mat-Plus™ (IMP) program, a contemporary method, which blends traditional Pilates movement with recent scientific research and advancements. She believes in the method’s philosophy of “effective and responsible exercise as the foundation of a better life.”
In addition, Michelle is a mixed media artist and was awarded an Art Surround grant by Creative Sonoma in 2022. Her most recent commission is exhibited at Pepperwood Preserve in Santa Rosa. She was born and raised in the Philippines and currently lives in Penngrove.
