About the class

This early childhood class is designed to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for both parents and their young children. The primary goal is to foster a strong bond between parents and children while promoting developmental milestones through play, music and storytelling.

Parental Involvement:

Parents are active participants throughout the class, engaging with their children in activities, modeling positive behavior, and learning strategies to support their child’s development at home.

Esta clase para la primera infancia está diseñada para crear un ambiente acogedor y estimulante tanto para los padres como para sus hijos pequeños. El objetivo principal es fomentar un vínculo fuerte entre padres e hijos, mientras se promueven hitos del desarrollo a través del juego, la música y la narración de cuentos.

The Sonoma Community Center (the Center) strives to create an inclusive, safe community where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. About the instructor

Cristina Ruiz

Instructor

Cristina Ruiz is a Mexican teacher and artist with over 25 years of teaching experience. She has taught art and Spanish to participants ages 2- adults. She got her Bachelor degree in Graphic Design and a Master degree in Fine Arts from the National University Autonomous of Mexico (UNAM). She moved from Mexico to California in 2012 and currently lives in Sonoma with her 8-year old son and husband. For the last 10 years she has been teaching Spanish at a local Waldorf public school and is currently in the process of getting a certificate as a Waldorf Teacher.
