About the class

Join costume and puppet designer Nao Kobayashi as she guides you through a fast-paced paper mache technique of creating a dramatic wearable skull. Learn to build a structure to fit your head then add large openings for the eyes and nose. The jaw with teeth are a separate piece, attached with string to give your skull an amusing kinetic quality. Take your sculpture home and add any further paint or decoration once it’s completely dry. Wear your sculpture for Halloween, Dia de Muertos, or just for fun! This workshop is a good introduction to paper mache and to working three dimensionally. Beginners welcome. All materials are provided.

Please share any special considerations (medical, physical, learning) that will help your instructor make your class accessible and accommodating for you. You can share these considerations when register or by emailing Sean at sean@sonomacommunitycenter.org.
