Star In Your Own Story

Recurring event see all

August 28, 2022 @ 1:00 pm 2:30 pm

Instructor:  Kathryn Williams

Location: RM 210

Star in your own Story: where the art of storytelling, some fun acting activities, and releasing the past to the simple joys of the moment all combine together to help you shine.

In similar tradition to the Storytellers of Ireland, “The Moth” podcasts, and Ted Talks, this 6 week course will lead you through the joy and power of storytelling.  Welcome to Star in your own Story where scenes from the movie of your life, the stories that make you who you are today, have a chance to inspire, shift consciousness, or just simply be told.

This class is for newbies to performing and seasoned performers alike.  Performing your story is optional – this is just a chance to dive into a creative process and have some fun while gaining some perspective along the way.

Through fun theatre games, self inquiry in a safe and supportive environment, consider this a messy ego-less presence process art form exploration. Now is a chance to take a trip down memory lane to uncover parts of your personal journey as stories to be shared, reframed and released, bringing you home to a refreshing presence process.

We all need more play in our lives, and this will be your home to illuminate the brilliant truth of who you really are.
