In-person students: Additional 30 minutes for feedback and critique from 12:00-12:30PM.
Instructor: Deborah Donahower
Soft pastels are an interesting medium because, unlike paint, all color mixing is done directly on the paper. Layers are built up to create luminous, painterly effects. Why is it called a pastel painting? Because the entire surface of the paper is covered with pastel. Classes will cover still life, landscapes, portraits and abstract subject matter.
Suitable for beginners-intermediate. Choose to attend in-person or virtually through Zoom. Students work along with the instructor from the images provided.
