Instructor:  Lexi Bakkar

In this online live workshop using Zoom video conferencing, Lexi Bakkar will lead youth in a fun clay based project.  This class will inspire and educate young students to make fun and unique things out of clay.  She will start the session with a brief introduction and demonstration of the project and allow plenty of time to help the students complete the project.  She will leave room and flexibility for each child to explore their own creativity and ideas.

Class Includes:

  • One hour Zoom lesson.
  • Kit with clay and materials.
  • Curbside pickup and drop0ff.
  • Firing

Kits will be available for pickup on the Tuesday before the class from 1:00-4:00PM and the day of the class  Wednesday from 10:00AM-4:00PM.  Each kit will be labeled with a family name and will be located on the table outside of the glaze barn on the Sonoma Community Center campus. You will receive an email two days before class with more information.

Lexi Bakkar is the Sonoma Ceramics Studio Coordinator and Youth Programming Manager. She is an artist and educator who truly believes that ceramics is an art medium that should be fun, approachable and accessible to all. She is dedicated to helping new students discover the joys of clay and facilitates others at the Sonoma Ceramics studio.
