Create your own eye catching spring hat. Choose to design a bonnet perfect for a Sunday outing or a whimsical masterpiece ready for the Mad Hatter Tea Party. In this hands-on class you will learn how to transform a standard blocked hat, hand sewing techniques, make bands and flowers, and how to use other adornments to design the hat of your choice. Fun for all.
A supply fee of $30 due on the first day of class covers the hat and materials. Feel free to bring a lunch and any specific ribbons, bows, flowers, or any other accessories, if you choose.

Jessica has been making hats, fascinators, cocktail hats and whatever else fun items clients ask to adorn their heads for about 9 years. She also sells her hats at trunk shows, or in shops such as Portobello Hats in downtown Santa Rosa, various salons in Sonoma County and online via her website (GouldHatDesigns.com). Gould Hat Designs is a Sonoma County based millinery Arts business specializing in one of a kind hats for women and men using traditional millinery techniques. Many of the hats are refurbished from vintage hats. Each hat is a unique piece of handcrafted art using quality textiles old and new. Jessica enjoys teaching classes in various types of fascinator or cocktail hat making, hat blocking in either refurbished or new materials, and ribbon and fabric flower making.
