March 7 – 30, 2019
Gallery Opening: Thursday, March 7th at 5:30pm (Artist Talk @ 6:00pm)
It is a pleasure for the Sonoma Community Center to present Bay Area fiber artist, Keyaira Terry, in her debut solo exhibition:
“In this exhibition, I show my most recent body of work of hand-woven pieces consisting of a mix of leather, locally sourced, high-quality wool and plant materials. Many of my pieces feature fibers and materials sourced from Fibershed producers – a community dedicated to producing sustainable fibers and textiles. My sensitivity is reflected in each resulting piece, combining my fascination and passion for form, color, and consciously sourced materials.
To learn more on my process and technique, join me for a coinciding workshop: March 23, 2019 | 11:30am – 4:30pm” – Keyaira Terry
