In this unique, interactive monotype printmaking workshop, you will learn to make stunning, one-of-a-kind botanical art prints inspired from the natural world! Kelly will show you how to use real flora as stencils in your work and how you can even add dimension to them by layering colors and applying mixed media such as pastel, ink, acrylic, and watercolor. This is a one-day experimental class where you will learn techniques using a combination of gel plates and the printing press.
It is sure to be a fun and awe-inspiring class for beginners or even experienced printmakers interested in learning a beautiful new technique. If you love plants, and you’ve always wanted to try monotype, this class is sure to motivate and inspire you!

Kelly Autumn is a Northern California based multi-disciplinary artist originally from Santa Rosa. Kelly received her BA in Fashion & Textiles Design from San Francisco State University and spent the last two decades living and working as a creative within the Bay Area. In 2019, Kelly received certification in the field of Printmaking Arts from Diablo Valley College and served as a teaching assistant to her mentor Toru Sugita, Professor of Printmaking & Chair of the Diablo Valley College Art Department. In 2020, she completed a pop-up printmaking residency at the Sonoma Community Center. Kelly is a member of the California Society of Printmakers, and the Oakland Arts Association. She lives and works in Oakland, California.
