First-timers welcome! Develop and improve your throwing skills while exploring a range of forms through multiple class projects in this all-level throwing class. The instructor guides you through the basic steps of throwing, shaping, and trimming of pottery on the wheel. This class is a great opportunity for students to hone basic techniques of throwing on the wheel and expand skills in all aspects of pottery. Surface decoration techniques will be explored.
With your 8 week class registration, students receive 8 complimentary drop in days to work on class projects for the duration of the class.
$30 materials fee due at registration covers your first bag of clay, firing, and glazes. Additional clay may be purchased as necessary.

Ben has been working in clay for over 15 years and is truly passionate about throwing pots. He specializes in large scale multi-part forms for indoor and outdoor use. His signature, carved surfaces distinguish his work with patterns referencing the energy he puts into throwing and finishing his impressive pots. When Ben is not in the studio, you can find him on the crewing for Napa Valley Balloons.
