Join long time art teacher Sharon Bloom for this fun for the whole family art class turning plain old cardboard into 3D animals! Participants will make a free standing animal using a template they create.
Thin cardboard (cereal box) will be used for body parts. The parts will be covered with decorated paper made by participants and glued on shapes.
Materials list and template will be sent to you via email after registration.
After earning her Fine Art degree in painting in 1984, Sharon continued to use her creative gifts and share them with other through her own artworks and teaching others the joys of experiencing creative expression through art. She has worked with children, adults and developmentally disabled adults. Sharon works in a variety of media including acrylics, watercolor, collage, clay and metal. Depending on the season, you may find her working outside on clay pieces or firmly planted at the drawing table assembling pieces of her hand painted paper into a collage. Her artistic path has given her the ability to see the world in an all encompassing expression of the creative human spirit. Sharon hopes that she can help others open themselves to this experience through her art and teaching. Sharon Bloom currently works as an art teacher for grades K – 8 in Vacaville, CA.
