Instructor:  Lynn Wood

In this live workshop using zoom video conferencing, Lynn will demonstrate two styles of slab baskets. The demonstration will include tips on feet and appropriate handles as options to take your slab work to the next level. And as the texture queen, of course, texture will be involved. No worries if you do not have any texture tools at home, we will explore the possibilities of using simple household items. Students will need to consult their confirmation email for tool and prep instructions including rolling a slab ahead of time.

The first hour will be a demonstration and the second hour will be studio time and discussion. Participants must preregister for the workshop to get the zoom linked tool list. Once you register, the links will be in your confirmation email.

Lynn Wood IS the Pottery Texture Queen. She is inspired by textures found in nature, architecture, and textiles and brings this joy into her work through pattern, texture, and color.  Lynn has developed her own patterned texture mats that can be used on hand-built and thrown pottery in a variety of ways and they are available for sale at Sonoma Community Center.  Lynn lives in Santa Rosa, shows and teaches nationally, and, of course teaches at Sonoma Ceramics.
