APRIL 6, 2020
Instructor: Rachel Staudt
Do you have a reusable bag, backpack, or purse at the back of your closet that needs a bit of a lift? Meet your local maker Rachael and join her in exploring fun and creative methods for breathing new life into that worn but favorite bag. Thinking about your bag as a blank canvas, you will have the opportunity to play with her treasure trove of interesting materials and curiosities to create something new! The workshop will include a basic embroidery demo, information on adhering different materials, and using embellishments.
Students should bring their own bag(s) if available. Other bags will be provided.
Materials list available HERE.
Growing up near Sacramento, Rachael spent many hours outdoors in the beautiful golden hills. After moving to Marin County and becoming an accredited adult by getting a math degree, Rachael realized that her true mission in life was to help the environment by using her creativity and skills as a textile artist. You can find her in City Arts Cooperative Gallery in SF and working strange hours at her studio in Sausalito.
