OCT 13, 2018
Instructor: Robert Benson
Together, we’ll be exploring the combination of hard and soft lines and surfaces inherent in landscape. We’ll explore how the hard straight surfaces and lines of architecture combine with the soft characteristics of landscape subjects that surround us. We’ll be focused on how values create a sense of space and depth in the landscape through believable space relationships. First, we will do a quick study in greys, then devote the rest of the class to painting our finished piece in color. Students may wish to bring enough watercolor blocks to do more than one piece.
