Either you are new at this medium OR you have been painting for a while and you need a jolt of inspiration and creativity! You will create technique cards to have on hand the rest of your painting days! You will learn additive and subtractive tricks. You will learn how to keep your whites or bring them back. You will learn how to create resists. You will learn how to master washes, and other traditional techniques with a slant on mixed media! Infinite wisdom is the key for this workshop!
Note: There will be a one-hour lunch break in the middle of the session.

Colleen Gianatiempo grew up on the East Coast but soon after graduating with a business degree from the University of Massachusetts, curiosity led her West to live the California lifestyle. In furthering her education, Colleen received a certificate in Graphic Design from Otis Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles, which led her to start her own firm creating design within the disciplines of fine art, graphic art, interior design, photography and arts instruction. She is still going strong after 26 years. Passion for fine art led her to the Academy of Art in San Francisco where she received a Master of Fine Art in Painting. Her mixed media work embodies bold color, varying texture, layers of shapes, and patterns. Her work has been exhibited in multitude of solo and group shows and is in numerous public and private collections.
