You will also learn a simple beeswax technique as a finishing glaze, as well as the beautiful Coptic stitch binding method using colorful waxed threads.  Arrive home with an object of beauty and new creative skills.

About the instructor

Anna Corba

Instructor / Artist

Anna Corba’s journey in collage began when her flea market collections refused to lay tame on her studio shelves.  With a degree in Art History and further studies in Fine Art at the Academy of Arts in San Francisco, Anna’s paintings began to incorporate paper, textiles and found objects gathered through the years.  She eventually developed her own product line, a collection of handmade artful objects that have been showcased in specialty boutiques, as well as larger emporiums including Anthropologie and Pottery Barn.

Teaching has become an additional way to engage her creative muse. This workshop is designed to share Anna’s love of fabric collage in a way that is user friendly and open to the student’s individual interpretation. Hand stitching helps to slow us down and be absorbed in the moment… creating a beautiful object is the happy result of this immersion.
