Are you a singer looking to take your vocal abilities to the next level? Join us for an engaging and insightful masterclass on modern vocal technique and musical theater! This class is designed for singers of all levels, from beginners to advanced performers, who are eager to enhance their understanding of their singing voice and improve their overall vocal skills.

Led by Joshua Bailey an experienced instructor with a specialization in modern vocal technique and a background as an adjunct voice instructor at NYU, this masterclass promises to provide you with valuable insights and practical guidance to unlock your full vocal potential. With over 17 years of teaching experience, including international teaching experience in China, our instructor brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to help you achieve your singing goals.

By the end of the masterclass, you can expect to have a greater understanding of your singing voice, improved technical proficiency, and a toolkit of practical exercises and strategies to continue your vocal development beyond the class. Whether you aspire to perform on stage or simply want to improve your singing skills, this masterclass will empower you to take your singing to new heights.

Students will have 2 options for accompaniment:

1) You can email Joshua a backing or karaoke track.  A speaker will be provided to play the track.
2) They can play for themselves on a musical instrument of their choice. The center can provide either a guitar or piano.

What is a master class? Students will have the opportunity to sing individually in front of the class and I will work with them one on one with their vocal technique.  (Like a mini 15 minute voice lesson).

When you register for a class, you’ll be offered three price tiers. The middle tier comes closest to what our registration fees used to be, and covers about 50% of the full cost of your participation in the class – with the other 50% covered by community donations. The first tier creates accessibility for people with limited income, while the third tier covers the full cost of participation – so that we can use community donations to support other people’s registration costs. When you choose to register at the third tier, you directly help support the Center’s efforts to remove financial barriers for others.

The Sonoma Community Center (the Center) strives to create an inclusive, safe community where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
