About the experience
Cocktails, Flamingos, Drag Queens, & Dinner! In celebration of Gay Pride Month, the Center invites you to the Birdcage Experience! Join us for a night inspired by the 1996 movie The Birdcage. Unlike the film, our 4-course menu has been planned to perfection by Chef Kyle Kuklewski.
You are invited to wear your South Beach style and begin the evening with a cocktail party in the Center’s Redwood Grove. An optional flamingo-themed bilingual sip’n’paint will be taught by Jose Martinez while a DJ provides the Latin dance beats. C’mon shake your body baby, do the conga!
Drag Queens will then escort you to the Secret Garden where a fabulous 4-course meal is waiting. During dinner service our Queens will perform songs- bring your singles (dolla bills y’all!) because yes, they do accept tips. Just like you are at The Birdcage in Miami Beach!
The fun doesn’t end with dessert. When the Schnecken beckons, the disco music begins! This will be an unforgettable night in Sonoma Valley. Don’t wait! Get your tickets now as it’s sure to sell out.

When you register for a class, you’ll be offered three price tiers. The middle tier comes closest to what our registration fees used to be, and covers about 50% of the full cost of your participation in the class – with the other 50% covered by community donations. The first tier creates accessibility for people with limited income, while the third tier covers the full cost of participation – so that we can use community donations to support other people’s registration costs. When you choose to register at the third tier, you directly help support the Center’s efforts to remove financial barriers for others.
