The Center offers a variety of cooking classes for kids and youth of all ages. Our young chefs learn a variety of age-appropriate techniques, all while exploring a new part of the world through food – and discovering their ability to make a delicious meal from scratch.
Like adult classes, all kids’ culinary offerings are hands-on, with each student working at a station or in pairs with their own age-appropriate equipment and ingredients.
We believe that by teaching our children about food and its roots, we can support them in developing a sense of independence and self-confidence through the process of feeding themselves and their families, while also encouraging their appreciation for the interdependence of community and food systems.
