About the Exhibit
Convergence: Art, Tech, and Transformation is a groundbreaking exhibition that explores the intersections of technology, connection, and personal transformation. Featuring a range of interactive works, including The Wishing Tree—an AI-powered video installation where visitors’ wishes transform the tree in real time—the tree invites participants to reflect on the shared hopes and dreams that connect us. Other art pieces utilize augmented reality to immerse viewers in transformative encounters, creating a dynamic blend of digital innovation and personal storytelling that highlights the profound shifts experienced during times of change and moments of resilience.
Katherine Allbright is a Sonoma-based tech artist specializing in creating immersive art experiences that blend fine art, augmented reality (AR), and artificial intelligence (AI). Through her innovative work, she explores new ways to connect and tell multi-layered stories through art, inviting audiences to reflect, engage, and explore with curiosity.
Her most recent work, The Wishing Tree, is an AI-driven interactive video installation that transforms participants’ wishes into dynamic animations, bringing their sentiments to life. This fusion of technology and creativity inspires reflection, reminding participants of the interconnectedness and shared essence of the human experience.
Katherine’s other projects, such as Within the Still, You Matter, Nebulous Mind, Ineditable Tomorrow, and Veil of Belief, explore themes of transformation during times of change. Using AR and other immersive technologies, these works reveal hidden layers, shifting perspectives, and personal reflections, encouraging viewers to engage with the evolving nature of self and the world around them.
