About the class
In this five-week course, participants will learn foundational watercolor techniques and develop essential experiential knowledge of this beautiful and challenging medium. Our unifying subject will be gorgeous fresh produce – fruits, veggies and herbs. These subjects are great for beginners and experienced watercolor painters alike; their organic shapes make them forgiving drawing subjects, but their beauty can be a muse for life. Instructor Hannah Day is a passionate produce lover and botanical painter and will share her unique approach to rendering botanicals. This class will work from life, practicing observational drawing in addition to watercolor technique. With five class sessions, participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills and build muscle memory with a medium that often feels like it has a mind of its own. Beginning artists welcome. All supplies are provided.
