About the class

Potstickers, also known as “jiao zi”, is a popular dish in northern China where flour is the main ingredient of their daily meal. The most traditional potsticker fillings are ground pork and cabbage, but they can be made from whatever is in season. From kneading the dough to cooking the potstickers, it is a satisfying and fun handmade dish that can be made quickly. Homemade potstickers are often considered a special appetizer treat or can even be served as a main meal ~ Perfect for a Lunar New Year celebration!

In this culinary workshop, Gigi will show you how easy it is to make your homemade potstickers with simple ingredients. Instead of the traditional pork meat, you will be making potstickers with chicken and cabbage. Gigi will show you two different ways to cook the potstickers and guide you with mixing several dipping sauce variations. What happens if you have leftover fillings? Gigi is going to show you how easy is to turn the leftover chicken filling into a delicious Chicken Lettuce Wrap!
