Cooking with Masa Demo: Authentic Mexican Dishes

Learn to transform fresh corn masa into authentic Mexican dishes with Gerardo Díaz in this hands-on Sonoma cooking class. All levels welcome!

Join Gerardo Díaz for a flavorful evening of cooking and dining at Sonoma Community Center. In this demonstration-style event, you’ll watch Gerardo transform fresh corn masa into sopes and pupusas, learning the traditional techniques behind each dish as he works. Then comes the best part: sitting down to enjoy what he’s made, loaded with a spread of fixings including shredded beef, pickled vegetables, cheeses, and more. It’s part cooking lesson, part dinner party, and a delicious introduction to the heart of Mexican and Central American cuisine. Come hungry and leave inspired.
