About the Class
Learn to create hand-rolled beads made from vintage Japanese recycled or remnant fabric. This is a two day workshop, 2 hours each workshop. During the first class, students will choose from distinctive Japanese fabrics and learn the process of cutting, preparing the fabric and the rolling techniques to create handmade beads. For the second workshop the participants will return with the fabric beads they have made at home and will learn how to design and assemble a personal jewelry piece incorporating their fabric beads with a variety of provided glass and stone beads.
