Make Your Own Beautiful Greeting Cards
Learn to make handmade greeting cards with paper, fabric, stamps & more. Create layered holiday cards & take home tips for every occasion.
What you’ll do
Among all of the bills and junk we get in the mail, who doesn’t love to receive a card from a friend? And a handmade card is even better! In this class you will make lovely greeting and holiday cards using a variety of papers, fabrics, rubber stamps, washi tape and more. You will examine multiple samples that will inspire you, then receive hands-on instruction as you build cards with colorful layers and images. You’ll take home your completed cards (along with envelopes) and plenty of tips and tricks to continue constructing thoughtful cards for every occasion.
Note: All materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring materials, such as magazines and books, thin fabric, wrapping paper and handmade paper.

About your Instructor
Cindy Troianello
Cindy Troianello has been painting for 25 years, teaches watercolor and other crafty classes in Sonoma, and runs watercolor-based team-building and sip-and-paint events. Her greeting cards, printed from her original paintings, are found on sale in several outlets in town. She also loves working with paper, fabrics, and polymer clay, as well as making jewelry and cooking… and she gets her exercise on a tennis court. Cindy has been painting and crafting alongside her professional career which was working as a CPA, head of human resources, executive coach and corporate trainer. She’s been training people in new skills for 20+ years and has a passion for teaching.
Class FAQ
We ask that you notify us at least 10 days in advance of a class if you need to cancel your registration. You may cancel by phone or email and we will gladly offer you a refund or credit toward a future class. If you cancel with less than 10 days’ notice, we will not be able to provide refunds, due to our contractual obligations and material purchases for each class.
Sometimes, the Sonoma Community Center has to cancel a class due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, such as a natural disaster or health emergency. If this happens and we do not offer a reschedule date, you will be refunded 100% of your registration fee (minus the payment processing and services fee), or credit towards a future class. If we are able to offer a reschedule date but you are unable to make the new date, we will gladly offer credit towards a future class.
All credits must be used within 1 year.

The Sonoma Community Center is committed to creating an accessible learning environment. If you require any special considerations(medical, physical, learning) please share them with Sean Baskin, Program Associate, by emailing him at [email protected] so that he can forward them to the relevant Program Director and Instructor.
Late additions to any program, class, or workshop that has already begun will be allowed on a per-case basis depending upon the Program Director & instructors approval. Late additions will have to pay the full registration cost of the class, along with any materials fees, and will not be prorated for the time missed.
