Papel Picado(Cut Out Paper Flags)
About the Class
Kick off the month of October with the first workshop of the Dia De Muertos (Day of the Dead) holiday series. In this easy and fun, family-friendly workshop, we will celebrate the traditions of Day of the Dead by making Papel PIcado (Cut out paper flags). Instructor Ana Rios will walk students through the history of Papel Picado and how they are traditionally displayed on altars and can signify the union between life and death. Participants will have a variety of materials and colors to choose from! As a bonus project, Ana will teach students how to make paper flowers as well!
