Printmaking Camp

About the Camp
Print Camp is for the print curious, art-focused, creative camper!
This unique, week-long immersive camp will introduce your child to the intriguing, versatile world of printmaking. Students will take a deep dive in learning a broad range of fun, foundational printmaking techniques in our community print studio. Campers will explore a dynamic week of drawing, carving, stamping, mono printing, silkscreen, paper-making and book making. Students will develop and explore their artistic voice and share meaningful ideas in a socialized group experience.
Our staff and professional teaching artists will bring their expert knowledge and innovative ideas to expand your child’s artistic growth. They will provide individualized instruction, as students learn hands-on, tool-based techniques and expand their artistic skills. This full day camp is designed to challenge and encourage creative expression through visual arts. Students will experience a week they will never forget!

Engaging in artistic activities allows children to express themselves in unique ways, boosting their confidence and emotional intelligence. Our experienced instructors offer a supportive and engaging space where all children can discover their passions, build lifelong friendships, and develop a sense of belonging. Not to mention, our summer camps are fun!
Snacks will be provided every day, but children are expected to come with their own lunches and beverage (or water bottle) each day.

Optional Early Drop-Off
We are offering parents the option to drop their children off for camp at 9 AM rather than 10 AM.
You will be asked if you are interested during the registration check-out.
Early Drop-off is an additional $25 charge for the week of camps.
We will accept your payment in person on the Monday the same week as camp.
About your Instructor
Kelly Autumn
Kelly Autumn is an Asian American visual artist and multidisciplinary printmaker based in Sonoma County. Raised in Santa Rosa and deeply rooted in the Bay Area, Kelly is a passionate arts educator with a natural curiosity for combining traditional print methods with an experimental mixed-media approach. Kelly received her BA degree from San Francisco State University and an AA degree in Studio Arts with emphasis in Printmaking from Diablo Valley College. She currently leads the Printmaking Department as a studio instructor and Program Coordinator at the Sonoma Community Center where she enjoys sharing her love of print with folks of all ages. Kelly currently serves on the Board of Directors of the California Society of Printmakers and her work has been featured in various public exhibitions throughout the Bay Area.

Eileen Parent
Eileen Parent is an abstract artist working in the mediums of printmaking, painting, and drawing. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts in painting and drawing from UC Berkeley and a second Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking from Sonoma State University. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the California College of the Arts and is currently a lecturer in Art Studio at Sonoma State University, Napa Valley College and Santa Rosa Junior College. She has exhibited her work in Sonoma County and the greater San Francisco Bay area. In her spare time, she can be found working in her studio, volunteering at the Sonoma Community Center printshop and teaching creative workshops.

Class FAQ
We ask that you notify us at least 10 days in advance of a class if you need to cancel your registration. You may cancel by phone or email and we will gladly offer you a refund or credit toward a future class. If you cancel with less than 10 days’ notice, we will not be able to provide refunds, due to our contractual obligations and material purchases for each class.
Sometimes, the Sonoma Community Center has to cancel a class due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, such as a natural disaster or health emergency. If this happens and we do not offer a reschedule date, you will be refunded 100% of your registration fee (minus the payment processing and services fee), or credit towards a future class. If we are able to offer a reschedule date but you are unable to make the new date, we will gladly offer credit towards a future class.
All credits must be used within 1 year.

The Sonoma Community Center is committed to creating an accessible learning environment. If you require any special considerations(medical, physical, learning) please share them with Sean Baskin, Program Associate, by emailing him at [email protected] so that he can forward them to the relevant Program Director and Instructor.
Late additions to any program, class, or workshop that has already begun will be allowed on a per-case basis depending upon the Program Director & instructors approval. Late additions will have to pay the full registration cost of the class, along with any materials fees, and will not be prorated for the time missed. You may reach out to the program directors directly, or the Program Associate Sean Baskin at [email protected] to request a late addition.
