Fashion Designer Cory Infinite is coming to Sonoma! Join us for a free Artist Talk and Book Signing

As planned for the Secret Garden, we will contact those who have RSVP’d if rain forces us to move to another location. Cory visits us from Kansas City, Missouri, to be one of our guest judges for the runway show. He will show examples of his work, host a Q&A, and will have copies of his book available for purchase. ABOVE: “Cory X Svea Wooden Hoodie” by Cory Infinite. 4,400 wooden scrabble tiles were used in 210 hours of work. Every tile is double stitched with tear proof thread to insure durability and is totally functional.

In honor of “Trashion Fashion” we are focusing on creative reuse and sustainable printmaking! Tetra Pak printmaking is an eco-friendly and accessible art technique that repurposes used food and beverage cartons – like those for milk, juice, or broth- as printing plates. It is a form of intaglio printmaking.

Trash Bash Trashion Wrap Party & Inaugural City of Sonoma Earth Day Event

Saturday, April 25, 11 AM-4 PM, FREE!

Trashion runway outfits will be on display, and the winners will be awarded. There will be 4 talk-format presentations to choose from. Vendors include local sustainability-focused organizations and upcycling artists. Food and beverage vendors will be on site. Plus, so much more!

Bidding for items in the Gallery 212 Exhibit will remain open until 2 PM, Saturday, April 25. At that time, winning bidders may take home their art. Those not in attendance will be able to pick up their pieces the following week.
