About the class
Join writer and coach Lyle McKeany for a two-hour Writing Circle where he will cultivate a nurturing space for writers to access their creativity without fear or judgment.
The session will introduce you to modalities Lyle has learn as part of his work at the writing collective Foster. Practices such as mindful writing and somatic experiencing will help you drop into what feels most alive for you in the present moment and write from that place.
Lyle will be available for light coaching help to get you unstuck, if needed. But otherwise, there are no prompts, guidance, or instructions. You are welcome to write, edit, or revise anything you like. All types of writers, both new and seasoned, are welcome, including those who are writing books, essays, articles, letters, blog posts, journal entries, software applications, you name it.
Bring your writing device of choice, be it an old ragged notebook or a brand new laptop. It doesn’t matter. After a dedicated period of focused writing, we will circle back and share our experience, perhaps even reading something we’ve written.
This is your invitation to come write and connect with others doing the same!
