About the class

Looking for a way to level up your glazing techniques? Sign up for this mini two day workshop session with Lynn Wood who will lead you through new techniques for application using our studio glazes in new and imaginative ways.

Lynn Wood will have test tiles for use, and trays for students to glaze. We encourage students who are able to bring along a few cylinders or forms to practice your glaze techniques on.

Please share any special considerations (medical, physical, learning) that will help your instructor make your class accessible and accommodating for you. You can share these considerations when register or by emailing Sean at sean@sonomacommunitycenter.org.

The Sonoma Community Center (the Center) strives to create an inclusive, safe community where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. The Center is committed to creating such an environment because it brings out the fullest potential in each of us, which, in turn, contributes directly to creating a community of belonging. In order to ensure a positive, safe, and welcoming experience for everyone, all program participants are asked to abide by the following policies, community agreements, and restorative safety protocol.

Lynn Wood is THE Pottery Texture Queen. She is inspired by textures found in nature, architecture, and textiles and brings this joy into her work through pattern, texture, and color.  Lynn has developed her own patterned texture mats that can be used on hand-built and thrown pottery in a variety of ways and they are available for sale at Sonoma Community Center.  Lynn lives in Santa Rosa, shows and teaches nationally, and, of course teaches at Sonoma Ceramics.
