About the class
Join us for a fun and creative six-week quiltmaking class where you’ll create a quilt using the stunning Hidden Wells block. This course is perfect for all experience levels—whether you’re just starting out or are an experienced quilter looking to refine your skills.
Over the course of six weeks, you’ll be guided through every step of the quiltmaking process, from selecting fabrics to piecing, quilting, and binding. While this quilt may look extremely complicated, a very simple formula – and your creative spark – make it happen! Each class will focus on mastering new techniques, including cutting, piecing, pressing, and basic quilting methods. You’ll receive expert guidance on how to work with different fabric choices, how to piece the blocks accurately, how to assemble your quilt top and complete your quilt.
By the end of the six weeks, you’ll have a beautiful quilt to take home and enjoy. Whether you’re looking to make a cozy addition to your living room or create a thoughtful gift, this class is a perfect opportunity to dive into the world of quilting in a supportive, hands-on environment.
See the supply list for yardage needed for this quilt. Consult with the instructor to choose fabrics to bring or to use fabric on hand in the studio. Suggestions for suitable batting and backing will be provided during class. Basic machine sewing experience is required. No quilting experience is necessary. Students will use studio sewing machines during the first class meeting but may opt to bring their own machine thereafter.
