About the class
This is a hands-on class with a full meal at the end of class.
Tamales are a delicious and traditional Mexican dish that can be enjoyed for any occasion. In this class, you will learn how to make authentic tamales from scratch, using fresh ingredients and simple techniques. You will also learn about the history and culture of tamales, and how they have been a part of Mexican cuisine for thousands of years.
You will start by preparing the masa, or dough, which is the base of every tamale. You will then make the filling, which can be customized to your taste. You will learn how to fill and wrap the tamales in corn husks or banana leaves, and how to steam them to perfection. By the end of this class, you will have a batch of mouthwatering tamales filled with chicken, cheese, and jalapeño, ready to share with your family and friends.
