About the class
This is a neuro-inclusive, diversity-affirming 6-week course for high school students. All brains are welcome here! We are LGBTQ+ allies. Since the pandemic, everyone agrees that loneliness and feeling disconnected are at all-time highs. This special 6-week course offers something very unique: a chance to learn and practice important social-emotional skills as well as a class where creativity and identity merge in a fun way. Students will create their own mini TED Talk! It’s a great class for high school students who want to meet other students. Students must have strong written and communication skills.
**Note: This class is not advised for those who cannot commit to the 6 weeks. Due to the timeline of the course, this class is not geared for students who have behavioral concerns or for students who need remedial support in writing. Each student is expected to keep up with the lessons and homework so their TED Talk will be ready to present to families on the final class day.
